Second Book Title Reveal!

Set four years after the conclusion of Time for Once, Palmer returns with his own story! Shortly after meeting his friend’s sister-in-law, Lena, they embark on an unexpected & eye-opening adventure.

There really is no rhyme or reason to titling a book. Time for Once was titled well after the first draft was complete. For me, I write the first draft without much thought to the title. I don’t need those details to start writing a book. An outline, yes. Most definitely. That happened for this book, 100%.

Perhaps the woes of not creating an outline for Time for Once will be in a future blog post. But I digress!

For the second book, I knew from the very beginning I wanted some iteration of the number “two” since one of the main characters is Palmer from my first (once) book. As I was writing the first few chapters (which always house the most creative energy, beginnings always do!), the need to title the book became apparent since it was distracting me from actually writing!

I played around with the word reverse but realized the theme of “living in the past,” or in reverse, was too convoluted in a title. And so, with the help of my critique partner and us focusing on another theme in the book, “unrealized dreams,” Dream for a Second came to be.

Will the title be incorporated into the storyline somehow? You’ll have to read it to find out! The release date is TBD, so make sure you’re signed up for my Newsletter to keep up to date!
